The procession starts at noon and goes from the downtown chancery on San Jacinto to the George R. Brown Convention Center. Indigenous folk dance troupes, mariachis, and other singers will all take part in the procession.
Cardinal Daniel Dinardo will celebrate mass at 5pm at the Convention Center.
The feast celebrates the appearance of the Virgin Mary to Saint Juan Diego in Mexico in 1531.
