According to Houston police, the victim and a man checked into the a Hyatt North Houston on North Sam Houston Parkway East near Imperial Valley Drive on Thursday.
Hotel staff told police they saw the couple arguing Thursday evening.
The man checked out alone at 5:45am Friday.
When staff went to clean the room, they spotted the woman lying on the floor. They left her, thinking she was asleep.
Several hours, they returned and saw her in the same position. That's when they checked on her and figured out she was dead.
Police are trying to determine the woman's identity. Anyone with information on this case is urged to call homicide detectives at 713-308-3600.
