The accident happened at Fulton and Bennington earlier this morning. Investigators say the officer and his partner were responding to an emergency call when he made a turn going the wrong way on a one way street. His patrol car hit a pickup head-on.
The officer riding in the passenger seat and the driver of the pickup both went to the hospital with minor injuries.
