Harris County sets record for first day of early voting

HOUSTON

Election officials say 47,093 people showed up to the polls in Harris County on the first day of early voting. That shattered the first day total of early voting in 2008.

Early voting by mail is also at an all-time high. The clerk's office has received nearly 83,000 requests for mail ballots.
