We're learning more about how it happened and the man who lost his life in this tragic accident.

The accident happened at the Woodlands Parkway and I-45. The Oakridge North Police Chief says Larry Asher was just trying to change his flat tire when his spare began rolling off the bridge.

"He reached out and tried to grab it according to witnesses and overextended himself and fell over the bridge," said Chief Andrew Walters.

In an instant the beloved Woodlands area music teacher was gone.

"I just can't believe something like that could happen to such a good guy," said Kevin Matta.

He has a business right next to Pro Music Instruction -- the school Asher ran with two other friends.

His love of music in full display on a number of YouTube videos. Friends say Asher was eager to pass on his talents to the younger generation.

"All the kids who would come love getting lessons from him he was great at what he did," said Matta.

And in the small community of Oakridge North, even the police chief who investigated the tragic accident had a personal interest.

"Mr. Asher has been in the community for years. He's a guitar teacher. A lot of kids, I know my kids have gone to him for guitar lessons. Well-liked in the community," said Chief Walters.
