Two arrested, one on the loose after Conroe jewelry store hold-up

CONROE, TX

It happened at around 10:30am at Wilkins' Jewelry near Wilson Road and I-45. Police say two men and a woman walked in and pulled a gun on an employee. The store owner was also there and got into a scuffle with the gunman.

At one point, a suspect dropped his gun and the jewelry store owner grabbed it and began firing as the suspects ran from the store.

Police arrested two suspects -- a male and a female. Conroe police say the suspects are being interviewed by investigators and have not been formally charged.

A third suspect remains at large. He is described as a Hispanic male in his thirties, of average height and build. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and khaki shorts.

The store owner was transported to the hospital for treatment of some minor injuries apparently sustained during the altercation. Police say it does not appear that they are due to gunshot wounds.

Anyone with any information about this incident or the identity of the third suspect should contact Investigator Eddie Davis at 936-522-3237.
