A Harris County woman was behind bars Sunday after allegedly killing her roommate and then asking her boyfriend to help her dispose of the body.

Adele Margaret Karczewski told investigators she and her 62-year-old roommate, Charles Graham, had been arguing and that he was verbally abusive to her. Officials said she admitted to stabbing him in the neck with a kitchen knife.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office received a tip about the situation Thursday night from a friend of the suspect. According to deputies, the tipster said Karczewski had asked her boyfriend to help her get rid of the man's body.

Deputies went to the Timber Walks Apartments in the 5600 block of Timber Creek Place Drive just after 11pm Thursday where they spoke to the suspect's boyfriend. He claimed he saw a man's dead body wrapped in a blanket at his girlfriend's apartment.

Investigators went into Karczewski's home and found the body.

Karczewski, 53, was arrested and charged with murder. Bond was set at $50,000.
