The accident happened on the far east end of Seawall Boulevard early early in the morning. Police say there were five people in a Mustang when it ran off the road, went over the edge and landed on the beach.
Family and friends have identified the deceased victim as 18-year old Irvin Ruiz. The four other victims were taken to the hospital.
No charges have been filed in the crash, and the accident remains under investigation.
