Lewisville police on Friday declined to release the name of the 24-year-old man caught after he sought medical help. Police are trying to determine whether the suspect's injuries were self-inflicted.
Police on Thursday night responded to a 911 call from a bystander about a man and a woman fighting. Officers located a stabbed woman and the boy at the scene. The suspect was gone.
The woman and child were taken to a hospital where she died. The boy's condition wasn't immediately available Friday.
Police have not said whether the man knows the two victims. Their names and further details weren't immediately released.
