The fire began shortly after 1pm off of Carvel Lane and Waldo Street in southwest Houston. When firefighters arrived, they were able to pull the woman from the home and quickly tap out the fire.
She had minor burns and suffered from smoke inhalation. The woman was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
