US Attorney: 30 charged in alleged meth network

PLANO, TX

U.S. Attorney John Malcolm Bales announced the indictment Friday in Plano.

The people indicted were allegedly part of a network that sold methamphetamine in Greenville, about 50 miles northeast of Dallas. He says they're believed to have distributed more than 500 pounds of meth, which can be sold in crystal form and smoked.

The 30 people are charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess methamphetamine. Several face weapons charges.

Three of the 30 people -- Felix Villegas of Dallas, and James Rowland and Jeremy Satter of Quinlan -- remain at large. Authorities are asking for help in locating them.

None of the defendants had an attorney listed in online records Friday morning.
