Homeowner shot during violent home invasion in east Houston

HOUSTON

Police say a suspect kicked down the door of a home on Rhode Island and Clinton Park in east Houston.

He opened fire and shot the homeowner in the hand. The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK. There's no word on a motive.
