They were called to the Victoria Village Apartments on Jenkins near Strawberry around 10:30pm Friday and found 29-year-old Antonio Benetiz lying in the courtyard.
Benetiz victim had been shot several times. He was taken to Bayshore Hospital where he later died.
Detectives do not have any suspects or a motive at this time. Anyone with information is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers.
