According to HPD, the chase started shortly before 3pm today at Yellowstone at Liverpool. The suspect in a red pickup truck then led authorities on the South Loop, exited Scott Street then got onto Highway 288. He then got off at Elgin and drove through a Third Ward neighborhood, eventually crashing into a dead end street sign on Isabella.
The suspect was taken into custody.
Police say it was reportedly a stolen vehicle.
