Investigators say the deputy was responding to an emergency call when he collided with another vehicle at the intersection of West Road and Eldridge in northwest Harris County. The squad car hit a small tree.
The deputy was taken to the hospital. He's expected to recover. The driver of the other car was not hurt.
The accident is under investigation.
