It happened around 8:30am in the 200 block of McCarty at Portwall.
According to investigators at the scene, it appears the driver suffered some sort of medical episode. There were no skid marks where he tried to break, officials said.
The car left the roadway and drove into a concrete pipe in a ditch.
Officials said the driver was transported to an area hospital where he died. His name was not released.
