Plane returns to IAH after bird strike

HOUSTON

United Flight 1102 landed routinely and returned to the gate at Bush Intercontinental Houston at 8:15pm.

The plane, which was carrying 166 passengers and five crew members, took off at 7:13pm to head to Boston. Shortly after take off, a bird struck the aircraft and the flight captain chose to return to Houston.

The passengers were placed on another aircraft and continued their trip.

An inspection of the original aircraft suggest it did not sustain any damage.
