Around 2:30am, men armed with a rifle and a hand gun broke in the back door at a home on Canyon Blanco and Rio Quatro.
They held up the six residents and then took off with purses and other items from the house.
Officers swooped in and managed to catch the suspected getaway driver and his passenger. The actual two gunmen ran away and have not been caught, despite a search by K-9 units and an HPD helicopter.
The residents were shaken up but not physically harmed.
