The shooting happened around 5:30pm at a convenience store on Highway 290 and Bammel North Houston.
Detectives say as the victim was leaving the store, he got into a fight with another man. The suspect pulled out a gun and opened fire. Bullets went through the glass and hit the victim.
The shooter fled the scene and the victim tried to run away but collapsed about 50 yards away from the store.
The shooter was described only as a Hispanic male.
Detectives are still trying to determine what the men were fighting about.
