Desmond Jones, 21, was shot and killed early Saturday morning at the Shadow Ridge apartments in north Harris County. His wife says she was waiting for Jones to return from a fast food retaurant when she heard a gunshot outside her apartment.
Van Jones says she walked outside and saw blood everywhere. The widow says her husband's death hasn't fully sunken in, and she still expects him to return home.
"It's like every day I look at the door or whatever and I'm like he's gonna come back and, or at night and you know he's gonna come in and you I'm going to have somebody to sleep with, but it hasn't been like that," Van Jones said.
Police believe two people fatally shot Desmond Jones as he was parking, then stole his car. Officers have not found those killers.
