The two-year-old Richmond boy was taken to the Fort Bend Medical Center on Friday night. He was then flown to Texas Children's Hospital where he died Sunday.
The boy's grandmother was at home when he got into the tub. Investigators do not know who turned on the water.
Officials said the grandmother heard running water and then found him.
