HFD: Rain saved man's leg in rollover

HOUSTON

According to investigators, the man lost control of his car on the South Lake Houston Parkway southbound feeder road around 11pm.

When authorities arrived, the car was turned on its side. The man had been ejected and his leg was pinned beneath the vehicle, officials said.

But the Houston Fire Department told us the ground was wet from recent rains, so the car didn't crush the man's leg. Instead, his leg was pressed into the mud.

The man was fine but did say his leg was sore.
