Woman says she was raped by man she met on computer chat line

HOUSTON

According to court documents, the victim says after chatting with the defendant, Corran Eron Crosby, they agreed to meet at his north Harris County apartment back on February 11, 2012. The woman says she and Crosby talked and drank vodka at his place when she wanted to smoke a cigarette. She says Crosby told her that the only place she could smoke in the house was in his bedroom, so they went to his bedroom to smoke and drink more vodka.

The woman told investigators that the next thing she remembers is that she woke up with Crosby choking her and sexually assaulting her. She says she tried to resist, but was unable to stop Crosby.

Court documents state once Crosby stopped the alleged sexual assault that the woman ran naked out of the apartment and a witness came by and let the woman into their vehicle.

When police arrived, they searched the apartment and recovered the victim's possessions. Police say Crosby's bedroom door was locked and they could not get inside. His sister, who also lives in the apartment, said she heard a woman scream a short time before police arrived.

Bruises on the victim were consistent with choking, police say. Court documents state DNA from the victim's rape kit matched that of Crosby.

Police say the victim picked Crosby out of a photo array.

Crosby, 29, is charged with sexual assault of an adult.
