The woman was identified by police as 30-year-old Sealy resident Lisa Camille Land.
According to officials, her body was discovered at the Best Budget Inn on N. Circle Drive around 5pm Friday. Police say she appeared to have been beaten.
Sealy police are working on this investigation with the Texas Rangers, Austin County Sheriff's Office, Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office, Sealy ISD police, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Austin County EMS and Sealy Fire Department.
