Jonathan Castaneda was arrested on Tuesday. Police say on June 8, Castaneda beat Baron Armstrong, 45, until he was unconscious during an argument over lost keys at a residence on Van Fleet. Castaneda allegedly became so enraged he then attacked two women and another man at the house. According to police, he struck one woman with a metal pipe and sexually assaulted her.
Armstrong died at the scene, while the three others were taken to the hospital.
Castaneda, 25, now faces several charges including murder, aggravated assault and aggravated sexual assault of an adult.
Court documents state Castaneda was convicted of sexual assault of a child in 2008.
