It happened at the intersection of Veterans Memorial and West Richey at around 6pm Monday. Two people were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital and one transported to Ben Taub Hospital.
Sheriff's deputies say a vehicle stopped on the street and had a confrontation with a suspect. When they tried to get in their vehicle, the suspect shot at them then fled on foot.
A female driver was shot in the neck and is in critical condition. One man was shot in the side and another man was shot in the hand.
Deputies have taken one person into custody, but are awaiting witness identification to confirm if it is their suspect.
