The schools affected were Bens Branch Elementary and White Oak Middle School. Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office believed suspects in a bank robbery that happened around 9am were in the area.
Even though the lockdown was lifted, the district tells us there will be no outdoor activities at either school the rest of the day.
