Police believe speed and alcohol are to blame for a deadly one-car accident this morning in west Houston.

It happened around 2:10am at Voss and San Felipe.

Police say the driver of a Cadillac was speeding when he veered toward the center median, struck a curb and his car flipped.

The vehicle then rolled and crashed into a tree on the driver's side.

The driver was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital Southwest where he later died. His name has not been released.
