It happened on the Interstate 610 North Loop near the Eastex Freeway around 11:30pm Friday.
Police say a car slammed into a big rig and the 18-wheeler started to leak fuel on the road.
The driver of the car was taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries. The truck driver wasn't hurt.
The intersection was closed for hours while hazmat teams cleaned up the mess.
