This happened at the Azalea Place apartments on Bissonnet and Mullins after midnight.
Investigators say the victim was walking into his apartment when he was ambushed by two armed men. There was a struggle. The victim was shot twice in the shoulder. He's recovering at the hospital.
The robbers stole the victims SUV.
