Derrick Edward Temple is charged with failure to stop and render aid. According to court documents, Temple was riding a motorcycle with Kristal Frederick as his passenger when he crashed on March 30. Temple is accused of jumping on his friend's motorcycle and leaving the scene moments after.
Frederick suffered a severe head injury and later died at a hospital.
Temple, 34, was arrested by Pasadena police. Bond has been set at $5,000.
