The fire was reported around 11pm Saturday on Belneath near Crestmont on Houston's south side.
Firefighters arrived to find flames shooting out of the roof of the empty one-story house.
No one was injured.
Investigators say there was no electricity running into the building.
Arson teams are investigating what caused the fire.
