It's going on Saturday, May 5 from 10am until 1pm in the Cancer Prevention Center at the Dan L. Duncan Cancer Prevention building at 1155 Pressler Street. It's on the second floor.
The screening will include a full-body exam, but you won't be required to undergo the complete exam. And you will receive a copy of your screening results.
"Skin cancer is the most common cancer, but it's also highly preventable," said Susan Chon, M.D., assistant professor in the Department of Dermatology at MD Anderson and coordinator for the citywide screening event. "Everyone should remember to wear sunscreen daily and avoid the mid-day sun – especially here in Texas."
Free parking is available in the Pressler Garage Building, 1180 Pressler Street. Use the parking entrance on the West side of Bertner Street. This event takes place on the same day as MD Anderson's Sprint for Life 5K.
