Two people have been arrested in connection to the violent home invasion that left two people shot. Police say there could be more arrests soon.

A 65-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman were shot during a robbery at the woman's home in New Caney yesterday. Both are still in the hospital. Deputies say this is the second time in a week they've been targeted by robbery.

This time, the intruders had shotguns and stole almost $50,000 worth of jewelry after shooting the two people inside.

"The resident in the house also returned fire with a 380 pistol," said Officer Russell Drive with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. "There were several rounds in the house. It's unknown if anyone was struck during that."

Last night, police tracked down and arrested 29-year-old Adrian Comstock, and 56-year-old Patricia Hickman at a motel in Montgomery County. Police say Comstock admitted to being involved. Both will go before a judge this morning.
