It happened around midnight on Queensbury Hills near Lancaster Lake. A woman went to the garage to see where the smoke was coming from when the flames suddenly flared up and scorched parts of her body.
The fire quickly made its way upstairs, forcing her 70-year-old brother to jump out of a second story window. Both of them were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The woman's husband and daughter were also home and got out safely.
