A district spokesperson says students used social media and text messages to report a fake riot in an attempt to get classes canceled. Officials say students were throwing paper balls at classmates and running through the halls.
No one was hurt or taken into custody in connection to the incident, but administrators say one student was arrested for possession of marijuana.
