Police say just before 1pm Friday a man robbed the Amegy Bank in the 7000 block of Lawndale and took off with an undisclosed amount of money. They tracked him down about a mile away, arrested him and towed away his car.
Police also confiscated a wig and a BB gun that was made up to look like a real weapon.
Officials say this same bank has been hit four times in the past year or so, but are not saying if the man arrested Friday is connected to any of the other incidents.
