Firefighters say workers had been trying to fix pipes in an empty unit at the First Oaks of Northwest Corners. Somehow the work heated the pipes and sparked a fire.
Firefighters responded just before 11pm Thursday. The empty unit and another empty unit next door to it were damaged.
Firefighters say the fire was minor.
