It happened around 12:30am on Fairmont Parkway near Tulip. Police say the driver lost control while trying to avoid water on the road. Neither he nor his female passenger were wearing a helmet.
A friend who was riding behind the pair stopped, but the first rider got on his friend's bike and took off. The woman was transported to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.
