A local disabled veteran watched a small army of volunteers work on building him a new home Saturday in Tomball.

A build brigade raised the walls at what will become the home of Marine Corps Lance Corporal Daniel Peterson.

The lance corporal lost both legs after a bombing in Afghanistan.

Homes for Our Troops is providing the new house for the Marine. Cub Scouts Den 12 from Magnolia also raised more than $15,000 to help furnish Peterson's home.
