Warren Creavalle was arrested in February for interfering with public duties. Investigators say the defender and backup goalkeeper Tyler Deric were involved in a fight with an HPD officer working security outside a club. Deric is charged with assaulting a public servant.
Both were named in a civil suit filed by that officer.
Today Creavalle's attorney called the suit a blatant attempt at extortion.
