A texting prank by a teenager in Arkansas backfired big time.

The 15-year-old girl from Rogers decided she'd have some fun and text a random number, saying "I hid the body, now what?"

But of all the local phone numbers the girl could've chosen, she happened to pick one that belong to a police detective. Authorities found her address by tracing her cell phone number.

"We're people. We have a sense of humor," said Keith Foster with the Rogers Police Department. "But when it comes to public safety, we don't have a sense of humor about that. We take all things like that very seriously."

The teen said she got the prank idea from the website Pinterest.

Police say the prank tied up some of the department's resources, and she could've been arrested. But in the end, they released the girl with a warning.
