Detectives have a lot of questions after a truck driver was found dead in a north Houston house. They believe he could have been murdered.

Police tell us 55-year-old Linda Darnice Dorsey called 9-1-1 around 10am Saturday about a medical emergency at a home in the 6200 block of Batterson. She told dispatchers her boyfriend was unresponsive on the floor.

When paramedics arrived, they found 64-year-old Harold Lewis Bacon dead with a gunshot wound to the head.

There were no signs of forced entry.

Detectives interviewed Dorsey. Police said she first told them that she found Bacon on the floor when she woke up Saturday morning and that she waited until 10am to call 9-1-1 because she wanted to be with him during that time.

She later admitted to shooting him in the head around 1am Saturday and waiting to call 9-1-1 so she could try to clean up the crime scene, officials said.

According to police, Dorsey was arrested in 1985 for shooting and killing her first husband.

The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
