We've been asking and you've responded in a big way.

We're in the home stretch of the 'Souper Bowl of Caring' food drive and with still a few days to go, more than 2,260,000 meals have been collected to help fight hunger and poverty. Houston organizations and businesses have reported more than 1.3 million pounds of food and $385,000 donated.

The campaign runs through Super Bowl Sunday. The goal this year is to collect enough food and funds to add up to 3 million meals, so more generosity is needed. If you can help, please help by purchasing a pre-packaged bag of food or make a cash donation at any H-E-B, Kroger or Randalls grocery store.

All donations will go to the Houston Food Bank.
