Several units damaged in NW Houston apartment fire

Eight units were damaged in an apartment fire at this northwest Houston complex

Firefighters battled a large blaze at an apartment complex in northwest Houston on Sunday.

The Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department was at the scene on Texas 6 at Point Northwest Blvd. around 4pm Sunday.

According to officials, there are 16 units in the building and eight of those units were damaged by fire, smoke or water.

Some of the units were occupied. The residents of the apartment where the fire started were not home.

No one was injured. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
