Oklahoma authorities charge man in deaths of 2 girls

OKEMAH, OK

Thirteen-year-old Taylor Placker and 11-year-old Skyla Whitaker were found shot multiple times in an area where they had been playing close to Placker's home.

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation director Stan Florence announced Friday that charges had been filed against Kevin Sweat, who already is in custody in connection with the death of his girlfriend.

Agency officials earlier identified one of two weapons used in the murder as a .40-caliber Glock model 22 with serial number EKG463US. They say Sweat may have tried to sell the gun at a gun show in Tulsa this March.
