Students transported to hospital after school bus wreck

HOUSTON

Houston police say a car changing lanes on the 610 South Loop clipped another car, then hit the side of the school bus at around 8:30am Wednesday. Eight to ten students, from what HPD says was an alternative school, were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital as a precaution, as well as the female driver of the car that made the initial lane change.

The woman was given a ticket for failure to maintain a single lane and unsafe lane change, according to police. She did not appear to be severely injured.
