The accident happened shortly before 9am on W. Fuqua at White Heather. A spokesperson for the Houston Independent School District says the four-year-old boy was crossing the street in front of MLK Early Childhood Center with his parent and a crossing guard when he was struck by car.
The child had no major injuries, according to the HISD spokesperson. He was taken to an area hospital as a precaution.
It's not yet known if the driver will face charges or receive a citation.
