They'll start play in 2013 and the Huskies will add a football program to start up in 2014 as part of the agreement to join the Southland.
The Southland's two most notable members to those of us who live around here are Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches and Sam Houston in Huntsville.
The conference wanted another football school and Houston is a big market for the conference.
