The Texas Education Agency says the board president crossed a line when she told the district's assistant superintendent to turn in the suspended police chief's badge and gun. The problem was that it wasn't discussed in the meeting.
The superintendent and police chief were both suspended without pay last week after an investigation into missing items from the police property room.
